The COMPETERA Privacy Policy governs the use, collection and disclosure of the personal information (data) provided by you (hereinafter referred to as the “Licensee”, “you”, “User”, “your”) to COMPETERA LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as the “Licensor”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

While interacting with the website of COMPETERA (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”) and the Software COMPETERA ® (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Software”), we collect personally identifiable data when you voluntarily provide us with your personal data including your name, your email, your phone number and/or Skype ID, your job title, etc. In addition, when you access or use Software, we may collect metrics on your activities, such as web pages visited, length of visit, and which features of our product you use (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Personal Data”, “Personal information”). By voluntarily providing the Licensor with the above mentioned Personal information, you acknowledge and confirm that you have the right to transfer this information to us and you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of COMPETERA.

By accepting the COMPETERA Terms of Use, you give your consent for the processing by Licensor of your personal information provided by you during the registration process.


The personal information you are required to provide is necessary for your identification as our User and communication with you. All personal data shall be used inside the company only for the identification purposes and for the communication with you as our User. If you provide Personal Data for a certain reason, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the reason for which it was provided. For instance, if you contact us by e-mail, we will use the Personal Data you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem.


All personal data provided (disclosed) by you with the purpose of exercising license rights are confidential. The Licensor shall provide the same level of protection for personal data received from you, subject to your compliance with COMPETERA Terms of Use, as provided for its own personal databases. The Licensor may not disclose any personal information provided by you with the purpose of exercising license rights, to any third parties, unless such a disclosure is required by law.


“Confidential Information” means all proprietary or confidential information that is disclosed to the recipient (“Recipient”) by the discloser (“Discloser”), and includes, among other things (i) any and all information relating to products or services provided by a Discloser, its financial information, software code, flow charts, techniques, specifications, development and marketing plans, strategies, and forecasts; and (ii) as to Licensor, and its licensors, the Software. Confidential Information does not include information that Recipient can show: (a) was rightfully in Recipient's possession without any obligation of confidentiality before receipt from the Discloser; (b) is or becomes a matter of public knowledge through no fault of Recipient; (c) is rightfully received by Recipient from a third party without violation of a duty of confidentiality; (d) is independently developed by or for Recipient without use of the Confidential Information; or (e) is required to be disclosed by applicable law or court order. Recipient may not disclose Confidential Information of Discloser to any third party or use the Confidential Information in violation of this Privacy Policy.


COMPETERA LIMITED is not in the business of selling your information. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without further notice to you and we reserve the right to mention/specify your name (logo and/or your Trademark) to third parties while promoting its Software on the market without disclosing any confidential information.

As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets.


Non personally identifiable information: While you interact with the Site or Software, we may receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, that is collected passively using various technology stacks, which could not lead to the identification of a specific individual. These may be data that have been de-identified, or that could not lead to personally identifiable information in the first place. Competera may use such information with the purpose to track various issues, as for example, the number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page of our Site, the domain names of our visitors’ Internet service providers and the use of our Products. It is important to note that no Personal Data is available or used in this process.

In operating the Site, we may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activities over time and across different websites following your use of the Services. A cookie is a piece of information that the computer that hosts our Site gives to your browser when you access the Site. COMPETERA LIMITED reserves the right to unilaterally amend and/or change this Privacy Policy. In such a case, the updated version of COMPETERA Privacy Policy shall prevail over any previous one.

COMPETERA LIMITED reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data.

Your continued use of the Software and/or the Site after such effective date will mean that you agree to, and accept, a new or updated version of COMPETERA Privacy Policy.
