/PRESS RELEASE/  Erik Rodenberg, a well-known retail technology consultant with decades of retail experience under the belt, has joined the advisory board of Competera. Currently the CEO at retail consultancy Black Wave Consulting Group, Erik previously served as a Managing Partner at Columbus Consulting International, as well as a retail educator at several US universities like New York-based Fashion Institute of Technology.

Commenting on his decision, Erik states the following: “I joined Competera for a very simple reason. They are the future of how retail pricing optimization will be executed in the US market. Competera's mix of AI, business analytics, and ease of use is what gravitated me towards joining the advisory board.”

He adds: “Competera is already a proven entity across Western and Eastern Europe with very real results: e.g. renowned online retailer of cycling goods Wiggle has reduced pricing effort by 50% across five pricing zones, omnichannel and apparel retailer Intertop has saved 200 b.p. in profit margin, while omnichannel consumer electronics retailer Foxtrot has boosted revenue by 13.6%. These case studies allow Competera to share real examples of the efficiency of its technology and approach and let new clients feel excited about what is to come for them."

"All of these factors are why I joined Competera's advisory board.”

In his turn, Alexandr Galkin, CEO and co-founder of Competera, comments: “As a company behind disruptive retail technology, we are looking for ways to gain trust from market players. In such cases, nothing speaks louder than numbers: our cooperation with major retailers which resulted in an 8%-14% revenue uplift has already helped us achieve significant recognition in the market. However, we believe that with the help of Erik, a famous retail consultant with over 30 years of experience in the industry, we can succeed even faster.”
