There is still a lot of buzz on Amazon’s and Walmart’s purchases but there is other interesting news we want to share with you this week:
It’s back-to-school shopping sales time now! Yahoo says that almost 50% of all BTS purchases happen in July and August. The busiest day for bargain hunting in 2016 was Sunday, August 14 (more than 660% above the daily average).
Stats FYI: CouponFollow surveyed 1,000 Millennial-aged (20–35 years old) Americans and found that 79% of Millennials say that finding the best deals will impact their purchasing decision when shopping online. In the meantime, 60% of Millennials search for coupon codes before shopping.
Infographic FYI: 70% of shoppers who begin a purchase online and then go into a store would like it if store associates knew which items were in their online shopping cart.
“Access to competitor information may be blocked,“ or “The consumer device may be redirected to other content,“ says new Amazon patent which would allow the emerging brick-and-mortar retailer to block customer searches of competitors’ products while using Amazon’s in-store Wi-Fi.
